Meet the Founder
“Around 2010, I was looking for a tool that would help me stay on top of my team's work. My team was distributed across multiple locations in the US and India. At the time, the tools I could find were either full-fledged project management software or simple to-do lists. So, I decided to start HiveDesk to help entrepreneurs get visibility into their teams' work.”
Since launching in 2011, HiveDesk has stayed focused on one goal: help businesses track time correctly and improve productivity. No bells and whistles, no unnecessary complexity — just the tools you need to manage your remote team effectively.
Vik has spent over two decades building and managing distributed teams across the US and India. That hands-on experience — dealing with time zone gaps, communication breakdowns, and the challenge of keeping remote teams accountable without hovering — is baked into every feature in HiveDesk. Before founding HiveDesk, he held leadership roles in technology and operations, giving him a practical understanding of what managers actually need versus what most software tries to sell them.
